Meet Matt —
the eye behind every prep.
I've been collecting since elementary school, when my mom traded packs of basketball cards for finished homework and whole boxes for good report cards. I put together the 1992 Upper Deck basketball set that year, and I never really stopped — art, records, guitars, and back into sports cards full-time since 2020. My personal collection leans on aesthetics: foil, hologram, serial-numbered, acetate, a great emblem.
Day job: User Experience design. The detail obsession that goes into UX is the same muscle I use to evaluate a card's surface, centering, and corners. GradingPrep started as me pre-screening submissions for my own Whatnot show as @puffnuggets, then for friends and viewers. Thousands of cards prepped later, it's a real business.
